Being in Rotary is a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world.  Not only do they visit our club when they are in the area but when we travel I can go to a Rotary meeting in nearly any country and get to know some people and a better feeling of how the local customs affect the area. 

I have had the pleasure of visiting clubs in Anguilla and in Cayman, both had super people and interesting meetings.  In the Cayman Islands there are three clubs, I only visited one with a Professor from the college.  It was fun to see how differently, and yet the same, the meetings were conducted.  When you think about the size of the islands it is amazing that there are three different clubs, meeting at different times.  Hopefully I will have a chance to visit one of the other clubs sometime in the future.

When we were in Kenya one of the hotels we stayed in was the host for the Rotary meeting.  They didn't meet while we were there so I didn't get to attend.  It is really neat that so many countries have Rotary clubs all working to improve the areas that they are in.  Since Rotary is a service organization being able to work together to help not only your local communities but areas all over the world is pretty powerful!
